Jack Ruby and Ghosts
For me the entire Oswald thing makes no sense. How can he be such a bad shooter? How can anyone? This isn’t about assassinations, nor devils. Speaking of assassinations, Rajeev Gandhi truly symbolized India’s youth at the time. This movie I watched recently, The Terrorist, in which Ayesha Dharker plays the role of the terrorist and does a good job at it too. I did not like the ending, but was very much charmed by the acting and looks of her. Which reminds me of someone I knew in college, who looked like Ayesha, and in a few quirky moments of behavior, was a terrorist of sorts. I used to call her Don. Don’t hear from her anymore, maybe she found someone to terrorize the rest of his life. I digress.
Why assassinate? Is an assassin a criminal? How does the mind of an assassin work? Is it the better way to end a war?
History has all of it, I am just a spectator. Post WW2 Germany, Japan, Italy, Soviet Bloc, all remained peacefully content after the opposing leaders were defeated or ousted. Iraq, Cuba, N.Korea are in political disarray because the internal political strife is still on. The warring leaders are still at swords. So, who is the cause of political wars? Is it the people, who are almost always satisfied with a monthly ration, bystanders like myself or leaders at unrest? Clearly the political leaders are the ones that are the reason of wars, the motivations can be proving political prowess, regaining previously lost capacities as a leader or in some cases like the Taliban, religious motives. This leads one to think of the possibility of completely avoiding a war by simply making one side of the opposing parties and their conjuncts – disappear. Practicing a developed theology, imposing principles, preparing a military camp, numerous mindbending techniques and a few years of solitude can prepare an individual to think what you want. One will do. You – the mind of the scheming outlaw, whom I will call a mastermind for the sake of some assassinations being noble acts in my perspective.
The identity of the assassin is the most important point of focus for the assassin. For him/her (in my thoughts, and hence my usage of words, I connect with Adam. Love me or Sue me.) the disclosure of his identity and possible consequences for his family are of utmost importance. If the assassin is not driven completely by the boot-camp mind benders, then he is at flaw of being not fully fearless. Will he get away to Australia from Lanka and subsequently wire his money from the Swiss bank account in short installments over the years and go undetected. Or will he leave imprints in the encryption codes and divulge his home address in Tamil Nadu? Of course, in the case of a suicide bomber with no immediate family, all is lost in all cases. That is true dedication to mankind and self-philosophy.
He is the true thinker I salute.
